oh goodness!
by andrew lovatt
Oh, Goodness
how you cloy
& clasp
the emotional soul
in your unending
tyranny of reality
Sweet and light
seduction
you taste & promise
a tender white
absolution
Sticky like honey
you seep into every pore
dictating centre
parading conceit
dressed as virtue
Oh, Goodness
how cunning
are your plans
to subvert all
multiplicity
into ego sameness
Contemptuous
of other meanings
you sacrifice
subtlety and shade
on the altar
of your unfathomable
whiteness
Demanding all visions
be uncolored &
pristine bright
this singularity denies
the shadow land
of your own soul
