21 : MARKING SIDEWALK, GUTTER & STREET WITH TIME

She’s off teaching Yoga in as modest apparel as all those positions allow. Some woman at the supermarket recently stopped her to say how pure she looked. Surely the new house isn’t the same without her. The tree outside the window is a veritable hourglass dropping gold leaf by twisting stem & veined leaf wing marking sidewalk, gutter, & street with Time. Now, opposites attract. So, while she’s out there helping others get in touch with their inner selves, I turn to a 16th century how-to manual written by Pietro Arentino based on the drawings of Giulio Romano, who would have been arrested for them, if he hadn’t already left Rome for Mantua. That’s just about the way I feel today, waiting patiently to share a few pointers from my new-found knowledge with the teacher, along with the added joy of being just out of reach of the law.
