What use is poetry?
Can it wash the car?
Pull the weeds or mow the lawn?

Has it ever really earned its keep?
Just ask the poet who
Was forced to look to it
For his food and drink.

And if salvation
You are seeking,
Spend your
Time and money
With more wisdom
In collection plates.

Not quite a total loss,
Practically, poetry
Can serve such useful tasks
As telling any editor,
Expressions of your anger.
Generically, try this:

Your bull crap would make
A Masai who rubs cow dung
In his hair vomit
