Flanders – Flanders of course
Walking by water and trees
With the mind alive to all the possibilities for verse
Out of which I cite this:-
Child by the water in a red woollen cap
That I would protect from the evil of the world
And so suddenly cry: “May all joy be yours
And may you know the joy which I have known.
May blessings attend and your mind delight
In all that awaits it. Live the life I have been unable to,
Touch the fiery core which says:
‘All that you want I am. All that I need you are.’ ”
