the alchemy of acceptance
by andrew lovatt
the virtue of error
is the acceptance
of always being wrong
even when we think
we are right
opening the soul
to the great paradox
being always in error
accepting our condition
of unknowing
like a blade of grass
cutting into the sky
the duty of doubt
is the acid elixir
burning golden
through the seeming certainties
known points in a compass
landscape
undulating
to its own purpose
and us mere microns
in its makings
we will walk this way
between things
trees and mountains
a stream
a spring
and the sky
always taking in
the mole of doubt
with the geography
