T h e   O u t c a s t

After the education
As society dictated
The marriage happened
Similarly
And then the kids followed.

Divorce is something
Her parents had not considered
Could happen,
It was not the norm
Or the done thing.

So she wanders the streets now
Because her parents won’t
Have anything to do with her
If her husband does not.
