Clane Dawn... / 2 the wonder of subtle emergence had me transfixed at the window. witness to the mystery once more. filled with a newness. the past slipping away, dissected and imaged in dream. done with. you who plagued me for so many years. finished when i faced death alone on the cold surgical table looking up at the massive green-blue tinted lights, like a fleshy alien on the chopping block of fate. i watched the dawn emerge through fog and dark shadow. a singular witness. the hospital quiet behind me. the dark still enveloping their dreams. the sound of nothing except the squeek of birds through the window and the dew melting on the ground. |
